Delivery : Frequently Asked Questions

What areas do we deliver to?
We deliver to Northam, York, Toodyay, Grass Valley, Spencers Brook, Beverley, Goomalling and other Wheatbelt towns. Please call or email us to enquire about delivery costs.

Can my flowers be delivered in Northam today?
For same day delivery, orders must be placed by 2pm (WA time) Monday – Friday and by 10am (WA time) on Saturday.

Can you deliver to hospitals?

We are experienced in delivering to hospitals, but will do so in accordance with hospital policies. Most flower deliveries cannot be made to the recipient’s room, and will be left at reception or the nurse’s station.  Flowers cannot be delivered to Intensive Care Units.  Please check with the hospital before ordering your flowers to ensure the recipient is still in hospital and please provide ward and room numbers upon ordering.  

Do you call the recipient prior to delivery?

You can request us to call the recipient prior to delivery when placing your order.  On occasions, it may be necessary for us to call a recipient to ensure your delivery runs as smoothly as possible.

What happens if the recipient is not home?

If the recipient is not at home when the delivery is made, the flowers or gift will be left at the front or back door in a safe place, out of the weather.  If the delivery cannot be left safely, we will call the recipient and arrange for a suitable time for re delivery.  Additional charges may apply.

Can you guarantee a specific time for delivery?

We are unable to guarantee a specific delivery time, but we will make every attempt to fulfill your request.  All orders to businesses will be delivered during office hours.  Normally delivery hours are between 9.00am and 5.30pm Monday to Friday.  There are limited deliveries on Saturdays.  We do not deliver on Sundays or public holidays.

What happens if the delivery details supplied are incorrect?

It is the customer’s obligation to supply accurate details at the time of ordering.  If your flowers or gift are delivered to the address supplied and the address is incorrect, Northam Florist is unable to accept responsibility or arrange re-delivery.

Flower Care FAQs

How do I best care for my flowers?

Caring for your flowers is simple. For bunches, on alternate days, cut approx 1cm from the stem of the flowers on a 45 degree angle and change the water. For arrangements where you are unable to cut the stems, top up with fresh, clean water every second day.


If your arrangement has lilies, remove the stamens with a tissue as they open to avoid the mess – be careful as it can stain!

Why do you sometimes need to substitute?

Due to availability issues, we may find it necessary to substitute flowers, plants and gift items or vases / containers / baskets.  Every effort will be made to preserve the style and colour scheme of your order.  All substitutions will be made of products of equal or high value.

What currency are the prices displayed in?

All prices are displayed in Australian Dollars ($AUD)

What if I need to make changes to my order?

We will make every effort possible to put in place any changes to your order, as long as the order has not yet been dispatched.
